Alex Staniforth is a record-breaking adventurer, inspirational speaker, fundraiser and author from Cheshire. In July 2017 he became the fastest person ever to climb all 100 UK county tops in 72 days.
Aged just 22, he has been on four expeditions to the Himalayas and made two attempts to climb Mount Everest which ended in the two biggest disasters in Everest history. Alex is no stranger to overcoming adversity, however – suffering mental illness, epilepsy, stammering and bullying in earlier life.
Now he shares his journey with thousands as a ‘truly unique’ inspirational speaker, his first book ICEFALL and ambassador roles. He carried the London 2012 Olympic torch, and has raised over £80,000 for charity to help others overcome their own Everest in life.
