Alex Staniforth is a young adventurer, inspirational speaker, fundraiser and author from Cheshire.
Aged just 21, he has been on four expeditions to the Himalayas and made two attempts to climb Mount Everest, which ended in the two biggest disasters in Everest history. Alex is no stranger to overcoming adversity, however – suffering mental illness, epilepsy, stammering and bullying in earlier life.
Now he shares his experiences with thousands as a ‘truly unique’ inspirational speaker, his first book ICEFALL and ambassador roles. He carried the London 2012 Olympic torch, and has raised over £60,000 for charities. In 2017 he will climb to the highest point of every UK county in just two months for Young Minds UK.
